Among the various rumblings at tradeshows, we seem to be getting this question a lot, recently – “What about Quickbooks?” Today, I wanted to discuss that very question with you all and hopefully shed some light on what will be taking place soon.

Earlier this year, the company Quickbooks announced that they would be discontinuing their point of sale (or POS) package on October 3, 2023. When they published this announcement, it rattled many in the industries we support, such as hardware stores, lumber yards, and more. While Quickbooks said that they would continue to allow its customers to utilize the POS system, they were firm in stating that they would neither support the program nor maintain updates. They even went as far as to say that they would prorate the remainder of the money that the clients paid them in support fees!

Unfortunately, as mentioned, many in these industries that we support were going to be left out in the cold without a POS company. Well, lucky for you guys, we have a point of sale program that is tried and true. It has stood the test of time over the last 30 years.
